Okay so let’s answer as many questions as possible and take out and dispel many of the myths regarding your marriage license and legal requirements to get married in Las Vegas.
1. Is my marriage legally recognised across the world?
Yes, yes, yes when you are married in Las Vegas you’re legally married no matter where you live in the world.
2. Do I have to be in Las Vegas for a period of time before I can get married?
No not at all there is no time limit to specified before you can get married in Las Vegas, in fact I have married couples straight from the plane on many occasions.
3. How do I get my marriage license in Las Vegas?
Okay so the bottom line is you need your marriage license before you go to the chapel or place that you are getting married at, so you will need to get yourself along to the marriage license bureau which is situated just off the strip past the SLS hotel, every taxi driver in Las Vegas knows exactly where it is.
Once you get to the marriage license bureau you will need to fill in some forms, Pay $60 and show your ID which generally excepted should be your passport or driving license with a picture.
Once you have paid your money and signed the paperwork the clerk will give you a blank marriage license and confirmation you are allowed to be married, you simply give the marriage license to the chapel or minister who is marrying you and once he has signed that certificate he will register it at the marriage license bureau within five working days and your marriage will be legal from the point that you say I do and to sign the license.

If you want to save time and flying through the marriage license bureau go on to the marriage license bureau website and fill out the pre-marriage application form. Once you have filled this out you will be given a marriage license number which you present at the marriage license bureau along with your ID and $60 and you should be in and out within five minutes.
Do I have to have a blood test?
It is not a legal requirement in the state of Nevada that you have a blood test so the answer is no you do not need a blood test to get married in Las Vegas.

No there is no waiting period before getting married in Las Vegas
If I have been divorced do I need to bring all my divorce certificates?
As long as your divorce has been finalised and signed off by the court where you petitioned for divorce you do not need to bring any paperwork with you at all! The only information you will need is the date of the final decree together with the city the divorce was granted in and the date or indeed approximate date if you do not know exactly when your divorce was granted.
I need a certified wedding certificate can that be done?
If you are from outside the United States or just require a certified copy you can apply for an a Apostille certificate at the marriage license bureau website or in person at the County court house Where it will cost you around $30
It is not a legal requirement in most countries that you have and a Apostille certificate so please check whether or not it is legally required in your state or country.
